This post is for a few specific people, namely
ninjahijinx,
maastrictian, and the lovely Ms.
kleenestar. The rest of you may move happily along up your flists, or go have a hearty chuckle.
Alrighty! Since y'all need to meet each other, and we all visit LJ and I know you guys read this, I am going to introduce you through the power of the internets!
Jess, Chris, meet Tod. Tod, meet Jess and Chris.
Tod is a veteran rper as both a PC and a storyteller, and works for a company that runs "quests" for children and pre-teens in a loosely DnD sort of way. He is interested in writing his own novels, continuing his education and exploring other options and opportunities that will allow him to continue working with kids, teaching, and not having to make sandwiches or bus tables. He's also a very cool artist and enjoys history, dinosaurs, H. P. Lovecraft and comics. His cat's name is Athena.
Chris, a programmer with a degree in Paleontology, is also an excellent storyteller and rper, and has written and been published as a game designer. He is interested in history, dinosaurs, writing, cooking, Sex and the City, and is always looking for new games to play and stories to tell. His cat's name is Lyra.
Jess is a published writer and game designer, and recently won first place in a 24 hour video game design competition along with some of our other friends. She is in the process of completing her MA in Communication and Education with a focus on interactive storytelling. Her interests include reading everything ever published ever, story craft and telling, programming, learning, fostering connections and creativity, and generally being awesome. She and Chris have ST-fu like holy crap, and I mean that in the Foucaltian sense. Her cat's name is Trouble.
I encourage you all to expand on these brief introductions, point out whole new things, share cool stuff, and ask each other questions. Also, fear gas.
