Something in the office isn't grounded properly. We get shocked, badly, more than even winter static can account for, and for the second time in a month we have come in and the server has shut itself down for some reason. It should only do that if it looses power, and even then it has 3 hours of backup. So of course Bossman is having a liesurely morning and is not here to restart the server so the rest of us can do things like access our files (all of which are in shared folders on the server along with a few programs) and print. Hamstrung much?
He wants to blame the building, the building doesn't feel obligated to pay for the electrician since our office seems to be the only one effected, and this is going to be a lovely little feud I can tell.
So rather than do useful work, I've been told to tidy and to "think of anything I might need to talk to him about." The hell does that mean? I have nothing to say to you, leave me alone.
Later I'll be working with him on promotional stuff for our clients, so my days of being blissfully left to myself are over. He's also got a bee in his bonnet about finishing the comic NOW OMG NOW, so I'm doing the most half-assed cover ever. Why this needs to be done NOW OMG NOW when I could have been working with him on these client things all this week before he GOES ON VACATION next week, I don't know. I will have NOTHING to do while he's gone which logically indicates to me that next week would be an ideal time to do a really good job finishing this up...but WHY THE FUCK AM I TRYING TO APPLY LOGIC TO THIS SITUATION?
So yes. My boss makes no sense WHATSOEVER and I am trapped here for seven more days of this help me help me in the name of all small things I am going mad. Thank every power that has ever been and ever will be that this is it, because I am SO done with this crap.
