Hanging out and will probably spend the night and my friends'. Hee hee hee, it's like college again. Or...back before I had to be all grown-up. I DON'T HAVE TO NOW though, so I ain't gonna!

Instead, I'm gonna do this quiz thing I got from [livejournal.com profile] desert_mourning!

step 1: listen to all your songs on random
step 2: post the first line from the first 20 songs, or if the first line is a dead giveaway, the next reasonable one
step 3: let everyone you know guess and post what song and artist the lines come from
step 4: cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly
step 5: looking them up on google is cheating

1. In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape. Broken branches trip me as I speak.

2. Slow it down, you move to fast. You got to make the morning last.

3. In your bedroom you keep an iron cage / where a blackbird sings her freedom song. For you know the true value of having slaves: they sing the saddest of songs.

4. You can't hide behind social graces. You don't try to be all touchy-feely. 'Cause you lied in my face of all places, but I got no problem with that, really.

5. Go to work and take you car. Hang the fruits of your labor on the walls.

6. Bones sinking like stones, all that we fought for. Homes, places we've known, all of it is done for.

7. I'm the darkness in the light, I'm the leftness in the right. I'm the rightness in the wrong, I'm the shortness in the long.

8. Drink up baby, stay up all night. Things you should do, you won't but you might. The potential 'you'll be' you'll never see, promises you'll only make.

9. That bottle of Aunt Jemima better stop talking to me, she's making too much goddamn sense!

10. My life is brilliant, my love is pure. I saw an angel, of that I'm sure.

11. I just jumped out in the open without knowing if my parachute'll save me.

12. Well I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord, but you don't really care for music, do ya?

13. I'm coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine. Gotta gotta be down because I want it all.

14. Can't explain all the feelings that you're making me feel. My heart's in overdrive and you're behind the steering wheel.

15. All I can say is that my life is pretty plain. I like watching the puddles gather rain.

16. I backed my car into a cop car the other day. Well he just drove off; sometimes life's ok.

17. Tell me what you've come for. Moving like a hunter through my back door, leaving the perfume of all you adore to lie nameless on my floor.

18. All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

19. A hydrofield cuts through my neighborhood. Somehow that always just made me feel good. I can put a spare bulb in my hand and light up my yard.

20. I'm a fountain of love in the shape of a girl. You're the bird on the brim, hypnotized by the world.

Wow. I listen to a lot of weird, sad stuff. What can I say, I like soulful music.

You are awesome for knowing that, and for knowing the name of the Beatles song, which is my favorite Beatles song!

Completely unrelated to this LJ entry. Have I got a movie for you! It's called The Edge of Seventeen. You may have heard of it, or know a few who have.

I found it to be a very touching story about a lovely gay boy trying to find and accept himself in Ohio suburbia 1984. I believe it may be your style flick. I really loved it. Let me know, mmmkay?
