Hey there, tsukechick here. Do not panic, everything's the same, just renamed the journal. Now for a new layout to go with.

So apparently everyone else looks at my LJ and sees the normal grey background tiles.

I look at my LJ and I see this )

[Error: unknown template video]

The "making of" video is funny, too.

Yesterday's interview did not go poorly, but was also not worth singing accolades about. Then, last night, I looked at my bank account, got depressed, and listed a whole bunch of old books (mostly graphic novels at this point) for sale on Amazon.com. Puffy Kitty Books is open for business! (This is why I should not name things when my cat is curled up on my foot.) I'll sift through my paperbacks and old school books presently, though I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be much in the way of profit from 10 year old copies of Dragons of Autumn Twilight and the Dover Thrift edition of Candide. (I kid, I'm keeping both. As I Lay Dying, though, give me a penny and I'll stick a stamp on it.)

But today is free entry day at the MoMA and there's a Dali exhibit up, so Blair and I are going to go steep our destitute derrières in culture and absurdism.

THANK YOU MYSTERY PAID ACCOUNT PERSON! Gosh! This means that I have icon space in abundance. Therefore:

An Icon Meme of a Different Color:

MAKE ME AN ICON. Or respond with an icon that you think I should have! Or, since all that is demanding rather a lot, I'll also like recommendations for an icon maker I should look at. :3

Or, how not to take cooking or rpgs too seriously in one easy blogpost.

Hm. I guess I should, like, write about my life. Or something. I think I will, but over in my "Abby's Life Goes This Way" blog, [livejournal.com profile] tsukechick. (Subtle mention of second journal for those who did not know about it, check.)

Man, I read a lot of webcomics. Granted, most of them are not a daily thing, and it takes me less than a minute to read them anyway. SO DON'T THINK I JUST SIT HERE AND WASTE TIME READING COMICS ALL DAY. ...That's what LJ is for. >_>

First, I came across this gem just now: An ad featuring a bottle of vaseline floating in front of a field of clenched fists beside a news story about FBI wire tapping.

EVEN THE INTERNET SEES WHAT U DID THAR, FBI. (Sorry about the crappy image quality. Office computer = blar.)

And a cat update: Zen is still sick but getting better. All the tests the vet ran show her as healthy, so she just needs to take her medicine and recouperate.

Heh, so this is a bit long, but I went ahead and took as much of the conversation as I could. Man, I haven't had a conversation like this since the great Communist Smurf Debate of '01. BEHOLD the great that/which/who discussion that occurred in chat today.

The aunt which killed my father in what was for me a traumatic event like unto a trip to the Sahara with a damned and baby-eating communist, was also the zombie that killed my dog with a hatpin, but I found that to be as much a relief as the outline of Gina's life done in French by Mr. Black. )

To my dear friends who, like I, have difficulty logging into IRC via the various web servers, I have found a solution.

And by found a solution I mean logged in via darkmyst and hit reload until it gave me an option other than "retarded."

That option, my friends, is this. Change the nickname and choose your channel, and then under format choose the option that you like best. I haven't tried any of them other than MIRC, but that one gives you the chat setup that we all know, love, and prefer to use.

A HELPFUL DIAGRAM )

And thus we are saved from ill-designed setups and the attack of the clones. Boo friggn yow.
